Aloha Crater Lodge has a collapsed lava tube on site that exposes an entrance into Kazamura cave. Kazamura cave is the longest, lava tube system in the world, about 40 miles long. Cave tours are led daily. The entrance into Kazamura cave is a medium to hard difficulty then once in the tube it is easy to medium. The initial descent is a short distance on a rocky, muddy slope that leads to a ladder. Hard hats, flashlights and gloves provided. Lava tube tours from the Aloha Crater Lodge entrance to Kazamura cave started in 2010. Currently they are complimentary for Guests. It’s a unique adventure that shouldn’t be missed. Established in 2007 Aloha Crater
Lodge is owned and operated by Dan and Shannon Fisher, Big Island
residents for over 20 years.
